They were amazing with my pit bull. Nail trims have always been traumatizing for us both. This was her first salon nail day and she was happy and seemed to be just fine with it. Thanks for being awesome! I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic staff, took my cat Jiji to get his winter coat taken care of for spring. He was not stressed and super comfortable with the groomer, cat is very happy to have his old fur off and have been pampered 🙂

Took my furbaby there and he was in out within 2 hours better than staying in a grooming place for 8 or 9 hours. The prices can be somewhat cheaper but I was just happy my furbaby turned out beautiful 😍

Megan has been grooming at Smoochie Pooch since 2017. The thing that inspired her to groom was a special moment that took place at the Portage salon. She came in and saw two of our groomers coloring a dog. She asked questions and they were more than happy to let her come back and even help! She was hooked from then on! Her hobbies consist of going to the gym, and she loves spending quality time with her friends and family! She has a black Lab, Ricochet, who is her best friend! Just being able to put an amazing finish on dogs and watch them transform during the grooming process, is one thing that Megan loves! She loves to be able to continue to grow in her career every day!

One of Megan’s favorite aspects of working at Smoochie Pooch is the opportunity to teach newcomers the art of dog grooming. Her clients mean the world to her, and she cherishes the relationships she builds with each one. Grateful for her long tenure, Megan appreciates working with many wonderful people over the years. Smoochie Pooch will always be home to her.

Morgan Lasley

Pet Stylist

Morgan is a graduate of our groomer training program and has been grooming since 2020. Her desire to always be around animals led her to her career as a dog groomer. When she’s not at work, she can be found spending time outside fishing, and kayaking. Morgan has a Standard Poodle named Grim. Her favorite part of working at Smoochie Pooch is getting to meet all of the dogs and getting to know their personalities.

Amanda Henry

Certified Feline Master Groomer & Certified Canine Esthetician

Amanda Henry is a versatile and highly experienced cat grooming professional with a career that began in 2012. She quickly developed a passion for feline care and sought greater creative freedom, transitioning from a corporate setting to focus on teaching, creative grooming and specializing in feline services. In 2021, Amanda earned the prestigious Certified Feline Master Groomer (CFMG) designation, showcasing her advanced expertise in cat grooming. Her experience spans both salon and mobile grooming, allowing her to meet a wide range of client needs with flexibility and precision.

Recognizing a gap in cat grooming services in her community, Amanda is committed to becoming the leading feline grooming expert in her region. She is also a dedicated educator, sharing her knowledge through a popular cat blog aimed at supporting pet owners. With six pets at home, Amanda understands the unique demands of animal care. However, she emphasizes that she is unable to perform heavy lifting, which affects the types of pets she can groom.

Ashley Conrad

Pet Stylist

Ashley started with Smoochie Pooch in December 2021 and started our grooming training program in May 2022. She started working at Smoochie Pooch because she had worked at a daycare/ boarding/ grooming facility in Lafayette and loved working with the dogs. When not at work, Ashley enjoys the outdoors as much as possible. She has her best friend, Malone the Corgi, a cat named Bill, and a Pitbull named Ruby. Her favorite part of her job is being able to spend time with her awesome coworkers and being able to learn something completely new. She can’t wait to flourish in this industry!

Amanda Fodrey

Amanda started Smoochie Pooch’s grooming training program in March 2022. She was drawn to Smoochie Pooch because of the focus we place on continuing education for groomers and prioritizing the wellbeing of the pets in our care. She wanted to be a groomer because she wants to do everything she can to help pets and their owners have their best life and also have a creative outlet. When not working, Amanda enjoys going for bike rides and spending time in nature. She has a Siberian Husky named Stella and is so excited to continue to learn something new every day!

Aubrey Krieger

Pet Stylist

Aubrey was in training with Smoochie Pooch during the first half of 2023, but has been grooming since 2021. During Covid, she was at home a lot with her dog and started doing a bit of grooming on him. She found herself really enjoying it! Aubrey has always wanted to work with dogs and at one point wanted to be a hair stylist. Now she is combining those two passions in being a hair stylist for dogs!

Her hobbies include experimenting with makeup, hanging out with friends and family and going out to do fun activities. Aubrey has a dog named Louie who is an Australian Shepherd Golden Retriever mix. She also has two cats named Mylo and Copper.

A recent achievement for Aubrey was goin to the All-American Grooming Show with her fellow Smoochie Pooch groomers. She learned a lot of new techniques and about improving her day to day grooming. Her favorite part of grooming is transforming a dog. She loves to see how happy the dog and owners are when she is finished.
